I rode my Zigo Leader Carrier Bicycle (http://www.myzigo.com/) for Dystonia Research in Jakes Ride in Short Hills, NJ, along with my wife on her own Zigo and my two sons. The funds raised through Jake’s Ride for Dystonia Research benefit The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to find better treatments and cures for these movement disorders, and to provide medical patient information. Last year the ride raised enough money to fund four research grants.
The ride was great, touring through scenic Short Hills, NJ. The weather cooperated with barely a cloud in the sky, and turnout was 1,000 riders. They had a great band playing Beatles, U@ and other British cover music and all day. There was free bagels, rice cakes, and drinks, and a neat raffle. I even won Giant's tickets.
